Gina, you know why I’m excited to go home today (as opposed to sad that we are leaving each other)? Do you know why I don’t fear losing any of this work I’ve done on myself and to take my business to the next level? Because I KNOW you, Coach G, will be there to hold me accountable. You text me to check in, you call me to pray me through the hard decisions, you make me think twice about wasting time. I love you. Thank you.
Natalie, do you know why I do not fear shrinking? Do you know why I am dreaming bigger and why my vision for the future is clear? Because you do. Because yours is. Because it is innate for you to have the power and FAITH to make huge things happen in your life - business, marriage, everything. You owning your influence on the world makes me excited to step into fear. You are a force and I’m grateful beyond words to be your friend. Thank you.
Emily, do you know why I let myself even start to think about wanting to have a baby this year? Why my whole world changed with that thought? Because I saw you - successful driven focused you - become more driven successful and focused on what really mattered when Bman started to grow in you. In two weeks Brady will be here. For the last 9.5 months he’s already been changing my life and countless others. You already are the mom I hope to be. You give me courage to just. let. go. Thank you.
To all of the Making Things Happen alum, dear friends, you changed my life. You know you did and do every day. Over the last year you’ve pushed me, prayed hard, believed in me, encouraged me and led by example. You are giving it all, loving deeply, stepping into big business, owning your ‘mistakes’ as lessons, and - no matter how many times you fall - you are feeling the fear and CONQUERING IT anyway. You are inspiring everyone around you to never settle for anything less than their full potential. You are walking the walk. Thank you.
Thank you Jeff Holt for the beautiful day we all spent together yesterday in the snow. Jeff is a remarkable man, a brilliant photographer and the reason we started Making Things Happen in the first place. He was with us for the first 13 cities on this tour and spent the last months literally exploring the world and giving his heart - Cambodia, Vietnam, Greece, Iceland. Jeff, you make me believe that anything is possible if I have a razor sharp focus on what really matters in life and get rid of what doesn’t. You make me crush my self-limiting beliefs. It always seems impossible until it’s done. - Nelson Mandella. You make me unafraid to realize my full potential. Thank you for lighting this fire.
WHAT’S NEXT: Thank you for the slew of emails we’ve gotten this week requesting more cities, more open slots in Vegas (completely sold out with a long waiting list) and for your strong desire to make a big change in your life and business. I told the NY class a couple days ago that Vegas was supposed to be our last planned stop. Ari and I want to have a baby at some point. Emily will have Bman. It’s hard for Natalie to be away from her family and come all the way from Hawaii. This takes sacrifice. BUT it hit us ALL in the face this week… The work from this tour - doing the hard work on myself - IS what made my marriage better, business bigger, gave me best friends and the ability to invest in them, clear vision and … my list is endless. I am not the same Lara I was a year ago. From Tampa just a week ago to Atlanta, Charlotte and New York - just in one week I am not the same. We are now making plans to make this work in a big way. No sacrifices. This work is too important. Through the 25 cities we’ve visited on this tour, I’ve found my passion. I’ve found myself. I’ve realized bigger goals for my business and life than I ever imagined thanks to the constant support of the MTH community, doing the hard work and thanks to these incredible friends. And I have so much farther to go - so much more fear to conquer. This just the BEGINNING. Our plan right now is to just do one more city this year beyond Vegas as well as an alumni refresher. We’ll keep you posted as we develop this and make decisions. We have no plans for 2012 and we’ll leave it at that for now. I just wanted to tell you all thank you and that we are working on making this happen in the best way possible. I suppose it’s appropriate that I’m writing this in New York, just one block from where I used to live, one block from where the most pivotal experiences of my life began. Anything is possible. I’m feeling fear and choosing to walk right into it. We are all ready to MAKE THINGS HAPPEN. What an incredible week! Let’s DO this! Love, Lara
